Patrick Shepherd MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Southern Kentucky Vascular. Patrick has been a nurse since he was 22 years-old. His passion is to help people improve their health and to navigate their health issues.
Having grown up and worked in general Southeastern Kentucky for most of my career, he has a passion and connection for the people of Southern Kentucky.
EDUCATION
Patrick graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with associates degree in nursing and December 2000. He graduated Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing May 2015. He received his masters degree in nursing from Chamberlain University with a focus in family nurse practitioner in June 2018.
BOARD CERTIFICATIONS
Patrick is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Patrick has worked in multiple areas as a nurse, including emergency medicine, intensive care, and cardiovascular medicine. As a nurse practitioner he worked in primary care, urgent care, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and now vascular surgery.
Patrick has always been dedicated to his work in cardiovascular medicine. He worked as a registered nurse in the cardiac Cath Lab for more than 10 years. He is excited to care for the vascular surgery population.
