Diana Williamson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified nurse practitioner at Southern Kentucky Vascular. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality, efficient, and effective care to her patients. Her commitment ensures that her patients receive the latest standards of care with exceptional delivery. Providing advanced nursing care services to her community is her driving force.

She believes in community service, valuing the care that her community provides for her, her husband Steward, and their three children. An avid reader and traveler, Diana enjoys photography, local recreation on Lake Cumberland, and spending quality time with her family.

EDUCATION

Diana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Eastern Kentucky University in 1998 and later completed her Master’s degree in Nursing Science from the same institution in 2009. Her education includes extensive formal training, clinical rotations, and preceptorships with both local and regional providers, ensuring a comprehensive and diverse level of experience.

BOARD CERTIFICATIONS

Diana is board certified as a Nurse Practitioner with a concentration in Rural Family Practice. She holds extensive specialization in Family Practice, with additional expertise in Addiction Medicine, Urgent and Acute Care, and Vascular Surgery. She collaborates closely with Dr. Brown, offering premier vascular services to southeastern Kentucky, and currently provides care to vascular patients across five locations.

Diana also serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Southern Kentucky Vascular.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Diana has over a decade of experience operating Rural Family Practice Clinics in Pulaski County. Alongside her husband, she managed a private care company that assists individuals with personal care and specific needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a First Responder for the National Pandemic Relief Team in New York City, working in satellite hospitals to care for those initially affected by the virus.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & LEADERSHIP

Diana has served on the boards of local Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Planning Committees, EMS, and First Responder Committees. She is a member of the Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN), the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners & Nurse-Midwives (KCNPNM), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has held advisory positions and served as a regional director for the KCNPNM. Additionally, Diana has been an adjunct faculty member at Somerset Community College, aiding in the education of new and transitioning nurses.

Diana has mentored and precepted many nurse practitioners and physician assistant students. She actively volunteers in local sports programs, ensuring that team members remain healthy and engaged in various middle and high school sports.
